Chachopoya and Machu Picchu

Chachopoya and Machu Picchu, Northern Peru, are rich in archeology, history, and offer quite a geographical contrast to the southern region of Peru. From the 1st to the 15th Century AD, this region was home to some of South America’s most prominent cultures – Moche, Lambayeque, Chimu, and Chachapoya – who were exquisite craftsmen and excelled in the skills of ceramics, agriculture, architecture, metallurgy, and warfare. In the second part, we will visit the Capital city of the Inca, Cusco, visit the Sacred Valley, and embark on an amazing train ride passing Indian towns and villages to Machu Picchu.

Coastal Desert and Machu Picchu

Fly over the Nazca Lines and marvel at the mystery of the Nazca culture. Sail to Ballestas Island to view, from close range, Marine wildlife and sea birds. Walk and explore Coastal Desert and Machu Picchu, visit local Indian markets and vibrant local people in the Sacred Valley. This tour is for those wishing to explore Peru’s cultural and historical treasures.

Walk in the footsteps of the Incas on one of the world’s most famous and popular hikes, the Inca Trail. The 4-day Inca Trail trek is an exciting, high mountain experience where we climb up to 4200 meters, passing glacier covered peaks and descending into lush cloud forest. We will tour Cusco and the Sacred Valley, and acclimatize for our hike, exploring the Inca site of the Sacred Valley, visiting Andean markets. Then we will embark on our pilgrimage to Machu Picchu via the Inca Trail. Return by trail to Cusco.

In this adventure, you will explore a small part of the vast 30,000 km of roads built by the Incas and visit the magnificent ruins of Machu Picchu. In the second half, you will explore the Tambopata rain forest, one of the most diverse forests on Earth. You will have a chance to see birds and monkeys, and will have a night excursion to spot Caiman and other night creatures.
